RIVERS PDP REPS PRIMARY ELECTION MAY NOT HOLD, AS OGONI YOUTH PRESIDENT VOWS TO RESIST DISQUALIFICATION
The primary election of Rivers State People's Democratic Party (PDP)'s House of Representatives position for Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency may not hold as planned, unless the name of one of the aspirants, contesting that position is cleared.
This is just as the President General of Ogoni Youth Federation and House of Representatives aspirant for Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency, LEGBORSI YAMAABANA has vowed to resist his disqualification by the screening committee of the party in Port Harcourt.
In a chat with newsmen in Port Harcourt on Friday, the youth activist, LIGBORSI YAMAABANA regretted that, ten days after the appeal panel heard his appeal, the report of the appeal panel was yet to be made public.
He said it became even more worrisome that the primary for the House of Representatives is slated for 20th of this month of May, just six days away to the date, yet he did not know his fate.
He appealed to the panel and the National Leadership of the PDP to clear him and release the report in his favour, noting that he provided every needed document correctly and wondered why he was disqualified.
He decried the delay in releasing the report of the appeal panel and suspected a fowl play.
He vowed to resist any attempt to disenfranchise him in the forthcoming primary of the PDP for the position of House of Reps for Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency by 20th of this month.
LEGBORSI YAMAABANA threatened to deploy all available legal options to ensure he would contest the election next week.
